Unexpected great hotel, amazing find, Sardinia? Who Knew!
when we first arrived the resort was really quiet, mid June you have great weather and the resort was probably at 50 percent capacity. peaceful and relaxing.
Towards the end of our stay, the resort started to get busier, some of that was day trippers who seems to upset the balance of the hotel and the staff seemed to struggle to cope at times.

A good standard but some attention to detail is needed for a 4 star hotel
The beach and the decor is very nice. Paulo and Laura were particularly helpful at the desk and went out of their way to help us, make us comfortable and get to know us also - i really hope their efforts are highlighted to management. They have great facilities, activities and breakfast.
Beds are not comfortable, room layout is not suitable for adults with very small single beds in a small room in an L shape and staff took a while to correct this issue and move us to a more suitable room. Mattresses were very hard and rough. The floor often was dirty even after cleaning. On one occasion a member of staff did not knock or wait to be allowed in but just entered the room. Longer hours of room service would have been accommodating also.

Sardinia is a stunning island with beautiful beaches. We'll be back!
A pretty hotel in a fabulous location right on beach. The beach itself if beautiful too. All meals at the hotel were good (we had half-board) and it was really nice to have served meals in the evening rather than the more conventional buffet style meals that many hotels rely on. The room was fine - much what you'd expect for this grade hotel - clean, large, comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space and drawers, large ensuite shower, toiletries included. Staff all very helpful and kind. It was also really nice to have our own allocated sun shade and sun loungers on the beach for the duration of our stay - nice touch.
The air conditioning in the room wasn't particularly effective although it did take the edge off. We reported it but it seemed that this was the normal way it worked. It was also a little bit noisy but you get used it. The hotel was a little way out of the town of Villasimius and there aren't any local shops nearby the hotel (or at the hotel) for buying basics like sun lotion, etc. However, that said, there is a good shuttle style bus every hour into the town (and beyond) which only costs 2 euros per person no matter how far along the route you travel.
